Intelligence Bureau (IB) has recently announced the latest notification for IB JIO Recruitment 2023. The recruitment drive aims to fill 797 vacancies for the position of Junior Intelligence Officer (JIO), Grade-II (Technical) in the IB under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the official website mha.gov.in. The online application process will commence from June 3, 2023.

  • For UR, OBC, and EWS Male candidates, the application fee is Rs. 500/-.
  • Other category candidates and females need to pay an application fee of Rs. 450/-.
  • The application fee can be paid online or through challan mode.

Vacancy Details and Qualifications:

  • Post Name: Junior Intelligence Officer (JIO), Grade-II (Technical)
  • Total Vacancies: 797 (UR-325, SC-119, ST-59, OBC-215, EWS-79)
  • Qualification: Candidates should have an Engineering Diploma in ECE/EEE/IT/CS or a B.Sc. degree or a degree in Computer Applications.

Selection Process: The selection process for IB JIO Recruitment 2023 consists of the following stages:

  1. Online Written Test (100 Marks)
  2. Skill Test (30 Marks)
  3. Interview (20 Marks)
  4. Document Verification
  5. Medical Examination

Exam Pattern:

  • The online exam  will consist of 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
  • The questions will be based on General Mental Ability (25%) and subjects related to the essential qualifications (75%).
  • There will be a negative marking of 1/4th.
  • The cutoff marks (out of 100) for the Tier-1 exam are as follows: UR-35, OBC-34, SC/ST-33, and EWS-35.
